DOCUMENTARY FILM, 112', 2016 (BE, NL)
DIRECTOR: Lut Vandekeybus
CHOREOGRAPHER: Wim Vandekeybus

Performer, choreographer and director Wim Vandekeybus is a man of many families. He grew up surrounded by brothers and sisters, he founded a creative family in dance company Ultima Vez, and now has children of his own.

Drawing on performances, rehearsals, interviews and family archives, Lut Vandekeybus explores her brother's restless creativity and the way these family circles interconnect, inspire and sometimes clash with his work.

Wim is poetic yet perceptive, intimate but never indulgent.

Lut Vandekeybus made her name with observational documentaries: Bletzi, Bletzi (1997), Not All That ‘The World’ Does Is Good for a Mennonite (1998) and the award-winning Linda & Ali: Two Worlds Within Four Walls (2005). Her short fiction film The Chinese Dog (2001) won several awards. After a long time spent in the Middle East, she has returned to the documentary form with WIM (2016).
