Peter Schneider is an American theater and film producer, recognized worldwide as the first president of the Walt Disney Studios (1985 - 1999), being considered as the man who reinvented the production of animation film, operating major transformations at the structural level and artistic direction of Disney projects. Peter produced the most famous Walt Disney animations: "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" (1988), "The Little Mermaid" (1989), "Beauty and the Beast" (1991, the first animation nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture film), "Aladdin" (1992), and "The Lion King" (1994). He was promoted to head of the studio in 1999, but in 2001 Schneider left Walt Disney to set up his first theater company. His first big production, developed in partnership with Michael Reno, was "Sister Act", which premiered at the London Palladium in 2009.
